You send us your defective unit together with our repair form and we take care of everything else. If a replacement is necessary, we can, in individual cases, already send a replacement unit after testing (subject to availability). Repairs are carried out by us or by the manufacturer. We endeavour to carry out as many repairs as possible in-house in order to keep repair times as short as possible.

Windows10 compatible operating software is available for all current and most older YSI units.

Virtually all YSI measuring instruments are serviced and repaired in our own workshop, which reduces costs and shortens repair times. Measuring instruments from other manufacturers usually have to be sent in.

Mass development of cyanobacteria can severely reduce water quality and significantly limit water use. They produce a variety of secondary metabolites that act as allelochemicals, antibiotics, hormones and toxins and can harm fish and zooplankton, for example. Some of the toxins are among the strongest natural poisons and can also be hazardous to human health. For example, bathers can develop allergic skin reactions and also inflammations. If one swallows water containing cyanobacteria, there can also be stomach and intestinal infections.

Nowadays, the turbidity of a liquid is still determined optically, but measured by means of electronic evaluation. The wavelength of the measuring radiation is usually in the infrared range at 860 nm (according to ISO 7027).  As a rule, a distinction is made between two measuring methods:   The attenuation of the transmitted light radiation (transmitted light), best suited for the detection of larger turbidities. The lateral scattering of the light radiation (scattered light), best suited for the detection of small turbidities.

Yes, a winch controlled via the depth position of the multi-parameter probe can record the water quality parameters at different depths at selected time intervals. In this way, diurnal variations in stratification can be measured, recorded and made available via remote data transmission.
