Your partner for environmental measuring systems

Our focus

Our main focus in the field of hydrology is the in situ recording of water quality data. We offer optimized systems for mobile measurements, automatic long-term data logging, automatic depth profile logging and stationary monitoring. Typical devices include multi-parameter sondes from our established partner YSI, single parameter data loggers, water level data loggers and hand held instruments. Our range is complemented by equipment for measuring discharge and flow velocity from Sommer. For monitoring projects we combine these instruments with data loggers and transmission equipment, developing tailored monitoring systems to complete multidisciplinary projects. We combine proven technology with innovative systems and methods to meet new scientific challenges.

In the discipline of soil science we focus on the soil water regime and associated mass transport. Proven examples of our developments include

different suction cups and suction plates, which are especially adapted to recover representative leachate samples with minimal loss. Two product families based on this technology are i) our pF laboratory station to determine water retention curves in the laboratory and ii) our laboratory lysimeter for mass balance experiments. To measure solubility determining factors, we developed a Redox/ORP electrode in 2005, and since 2015 a new pH electrode is also part of our product stock (utility patent). These mini-electrodes are suitable for both the laboratory and long-term field application, where, if combined with e.g. Tensiomark probes, offer a (patented) full-range soil matric potential sensor. Our monitoring stations therefore offer our unique sensor technology and measure parameters that were hitherto either not measurable or not permanently measurable.
