Application example: Water Quality Profiler at bathing lake
In northern Germany, the ecoTech profiler is used to determine the water quality of a lake.

In addition to the usual parameters like oxygen, temperature, conductivity and pH value, the operator wants to get more information about chlorophyll. The profiler is able to measure all those parameters almost all year long. The measurement results are intended to provide conclusions of the temporal course of the algal bloom. Furthermore, it will be analyzed how far the oxygen content and other parameters are influenced by the sudden increase of algae. The possibility to probe depth profiles of the lake several times a day regardless of weather conditions, offers the operator an important basis for collecting measurement data. The following diagrams show two examples of depth profiles (July 2016, November 2016). To enable a better overview, only a few parameters are displayed.
