Application example: ecoTech measuring buoy with thermistor string

ecoTech has delivered a buoy Midi equipped with a thermistor string and a data logger. The installation was successful and our customer is using it to monitor the temperature stratification in a reservoir that is used for hydroelectric power generation and flood protection and is also a popular fishing area. The purpose of the measurements is to analyze the influence of water temperatures (and therefore density) at different depths and water levels on the phytoplankton and to protect the fish population. At measuring depths of up to 45 meters (depending on the filling level of the reservoir), the temperatures are recorded at the desired interval, stored and transmitted to a database at regular intervals via remote data transmission.
