As part of the research program of the International Commission for the Protection of Lake Constance (IGKB), the water quality of Lake Constance is recorded at one location using a measuring buoy with an automatic profiling system. The data obtained is intended to contribute to a better understanding of how the lake functions and to gain further insights into ecosystem changes.

ecoTech has built a measuring buoy with profiler for the Office for the Environment (AfU) of the Canton of Thurgau (Switzerland) and launched it in Lake Constance. With the help of an EXO2s multiparameter sonde, the relevant water quality parameters are recorded fully automatically at various depths, stored and transmitted to a server by radio.
